Bouchaib Zazoum

Dr. Bouchaib Zazoum is an Associate Professor of Engineering-Physics at the College of Science and Engineering, Southern Arkansas University (SAU). He holds a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from École de technologie supérieure (ETS), University of Quebec, Montreal (2014), along with a Bachelor’s and Master’s in Physics. Prior to SAU, he held roles including Assistant Professor at Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University (P.M.U), Royal Military College of Canada (RMC), and Research positions at Hydro-Québec’s IREQ and University of Münster, Germany. His research focuses on advanced materials, energy storage systems, and nanotechnology applications.

Research Interests: Dr. Zazoum specializes in graphene and perovskite semiconductor nanocomposites, lithium-ion battery technologies, flexible sensors, and machine learning-driven predictive models. His work bridges materials science with biomedical and energy engineering applications.

Publications & Patents: Recent contributions include studies on ionic liquids viscosity modeling, nanocage catalysts for ammonia synthesis, and drug detection via BC3 nanosheets. He holds six U.S. patents, including a 2022 patent on polyethylene/graphene composites.
