Milo Shaffer

Professor Milo Shaffer is a Professor of Materials Chemistry at Imperial College London, affiliated with the Faculty of Natural Sciences. He leads the NanoHAC research group and holds roles in multiple initiatives including the NextCOMP programme grant and the Graphene Flagship. His research focuses on nanomaterials synthesis, functionalization, and applications in structural and electrochemical systems, with particular expertise in carbon nanotubes, nanocomposites, and hierarchical materials. Shaffer has pioneered patented methods for nanomaterial dispersion and characterization, and contributed to structural power composites and energy storage technologies.
