Boris Decourt is an Assistant Professor at the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center School of Medicine, Department of Pharmacology & Neuroscience. He directs the Neurodegeneration and Translational Research Laboratory and contributes to the Garrison Institute on Aging and Center of Excellence for Translational Neuroscience and Therapeutics.
Research Interests:
- Alzheimer's disease pathogenesis and treatment
- Biomarker development for neurodegenerative disorders
- Clinical trials (NIH-funded and private foundation-supported)
- Pharmacological interventions in neurodegeneration
- Community-based dementia research in rural West Texas
Collaborations: Works with local clinicians to improve medical care for dementia patients. Participates in Project FRONTIER for rural healthcare access.
Training Opportunities: Offers internships and full-time positions for students/postdocs in neurodegeneration research.
