Bob Hilton is the Professor of Sedimentary Geology and Tutorial Fellow in Earth Sciences at the University of Oxford's Department of Earth Sciences, affiliated with St Peter’s College. His research focuses on carbon cycle dynamics, climate change impacts, and geochemical processes in Arctic environments. He leads the Earth Surface Geochemistry @Oxford research group.
Research Interests:
- Quantifying CO₂ release and storage via weathering processes
- Climate feedback mechanisms in permafrost regions
- Greenhouse gas fluxes in Arctic rivers
