Bo Wang

Dr. Bo Wang is a Lecturer in Finance at the Department of Banking and Finance, Southampton Business School, University of Southampton. He holds a Ph.D. in Finance from the University of Birmingham, an MSc in Finance and Investment from the University of Bristol, and a BSc from the Southwestern University of Finance and Economics. Previously, he served as a Lecturer at Canterbury Christ Church University and a Teaching Assistant at the University of Birmingham.

His research focuses on corporate governance, executive compensation, and corporate social responsibility. Key areas include board of directors dynamics, managerial risk-taking, and the role of top management teams. He has published in top journals such as the Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis and British Journal of Management.

Dr. Wang teaches modules in Corporate Financial Management, Portfolio Management, and International Finance at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. He is a CFA charterholder and serves as the Business School Examination Officer. He currently supervises four PhD students in Business Studies and Management.
