Birgit Wiedl

Birgit Wiedl is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of History at the University of Vienna. Her teaching and research focus on European history, particularly Austrian and medieval history, with an emphasis on Jewish-Christian interactions and cultural dynamics in pre-modern societies.

Research Interests include:

• Medieval Jewish-Christian relations
• Anti-Judaism in the Middle Ages
• Austrian history from pre-modern to early modern periods
• Social and religious interactions in European contexts

Her current affiliations and teaching activities are centered at the University of Vienna, where she has taught courses such as Guided Reading Austrian History I and Guided Reading Medieval History.
