Bilal Alkhaffaf is a MAHSC Honorary Clinical Professor and Consultant Oesophago-Gastric Surgeon at Salford Royal NHS Foundation Trust and Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust. He specializes in oesophageal/gastric cancer management, obesity surgery, and minimally invasive techniques. His research focuses on surgical outcome reporting, including a NIHR-funded international study to standardize gastric cancer trial outcomes. He leads the Upper GI Unit’s research efforts and supervises PhD students/trainees.
