Bhaskar Chakravorty

Bhaskar Chakravorty is a Lecturer in the Department of Economics at the University of Warwick. He holds a PhD in Employment Research from Warwick and advanced degrees in Development Studies and Rural Development. His research focuses on Development Economics, Public Policy, and Labor Economics, with a particular emphasis on applied policy evaluation in India. He is affiliated with J-PAL, the Global Labour Organisation (GLO), and the Warwick International Higher Education Academy (FHEA).

He has secured grants totaling over £79,000 as principal investigator.

Teaching includes modules on Macroeconomics, Development Economics, and Policy Evaluation. He advises students and contributes to administrative roles such as Year 1 Tutor and member of the mitigating circumstances committee.
