Beyza Gürel

Beyza Gürel is a doctoral scholar and Researcher at the Faculty of Business Administration, Department of Business Administration, at Izmir University of Economics. She has been a TÜBİTAK doctoral scholarship recipient since 2016 and serves as a research assistant in her graduating department.

• Education: Full scholarship for both Bachelor's (2012-2016) and Integrated Doctoral Program (2016-present) at Izmir University of Economics.

Research Interests focus on the intersection of environmental sustainability and financial systems, including topics like ecological footprint, green finance, CO2 emissions, and the Environmental Kuznets Curve. Her work also explores international financial reporting standards (IFRS) and corporate translation losses.

Publications highlight her contributions to environmental economics (2023) and accounting standards analysis (2019). These studies were conducted in collaboration with researchers like Gülin Vardar and Berna Aydoğan.

Scientific Honors include the prestigious TÜBİTAK doctoral scholarship and recognition as an inaugural fellow of the Turkish Entrepreneurship Foundation. She graduated with a 'High Honor' distinction in 2016 as the second-highest achiever in her department.
