Betty Chandy

Betty Chandy serves as the Director for Online Learning at Catalyst @ Penn GSE, leading programs such as the Virtual Online Teaching (VOLT) certificate and the EXACT program for educators. She holds a doctorate from the University of Pennsylvania’s Graduate School of Education. Her research focuses on designing learning environments, online pedagogy, innovative classroom technology, and teacher professional development.

Key initiatives include the Computational Thinking in Action (CTiA) program, a partnership with multiple Intermediate Units and school districts in Pennsylvania to develop computer science curricula and professional development resources.
