Bethany Pflug

Bethany Pflug serves as Associate Professor of Education at George Fox University, where she has held faculty positions since joining as a visiting assistant professor in 2017. A George Fox alumna (MAT, 2011), she maintains dual roles as both educator and doctoral candidate currently completing her EdD dissertation at the institution.

Her academic preparation includes:

• Bachelor of Arts in Cross-Cultural Ministry and the Bible, Boise Bible College (2010)
• Master of Arts in Teaching, George Fox University (2011)
• Doctor of Education (EdD, in progress), George Fox University

With over twelve years of continuous K-12 classroom experience, Dr. Pflug's scholarly focus bridges teacher preparation and practical application in literacy instruction. Her expertise spans English language development, reading pedagogy, and curriculum design for diverse learners, particularly informed by her roles as instructional coach and humanities specialist at Chehalem Valley Middle School. This practitioner-scholar perspective emphasizes translating educational theory into effective classroom strategies for middle school settings.
