Bethany A. Rudd

Bethany A. Rudd is an Associate Professor in the Department of Chemistry at Ohio Wesleyan University. Since joining the faculty in 2018, she has focused on molecular organization at air-aqueous interfaces with relevance to environmental and atmospheric chemistry. Her research bridges physical chemistry and environmental science, utilizing advanced computational and experimental techniques.

Dr. Rudd earned her B.S. and Ph.D. from Ohio State University, where she conducted theoretical and aerosol chemistry research under Dr. Anne McCoy and Dr. Heather Allen at the NSF-funded Center for Aerosol Impacts on Chemistry of the Environment (CAICE).

Her recent publications highlight interdisciplinary work on surfactant stability, ion pair formation, and spectroscopic analysis of interfacial systems. These studies contribute to understanding atmospheric aerosol chemistry and surface molecular behavior.
