About
Tran Nguyen is an Associate Professor of Atmospheric/Environmental Chemistry at UC Davis. Her research examines fundamental atmospheric chemistry processes, including anthropogenic emission impacts, aqueous chemistry in clouds/fog/aerosols, e-cigarette aerosols, and interfacial chemistry. She directs the NSF ICARUS atmospheric simulation chamber database.
She received her PhD from UC Irvine (2012) and BS from USC (2007), with postdoctoral training at Caltech. Honors include the NSF CAREER Award (2022), Sheldon K. Friedlander Award (2015), and AAAR Sheldon K. Friedlander Award (2015). Research employs advanced instrumentation to analyze oxidation mechanisms and aerosol composition.
