Bert Hoffmann

Prof. Dr. Bert Hoffmann is a leading academic and administrator at the GIGA Institute for Latin American Studies in Hamburg, Germany. He has held multiple roles, including Co-Leader (ad interim) since 2023 and Editor of GIGA Focus Latin America. Hoffmann is also an Honorary Professor at Freie Universität Berlin since 2014 and actively participates in international academic networks such as the Heidelberg Center for Ibero-American Studies and the European Council for Social Research on Latin America (CEISAL).
