Benjamin Sabey

Benjamin Sabey is an Associate Professor of Composition at the School of Music, San Francisco State University. His work emphasizes contemporary composition, with performances by renowned ensembles like the Arditti Quartet and Le Nouvel Ensemble Moderne. His music is featured on Albany and Fleur de Son records.

He holds a Ph.D. from UC San Diego (studying under Roger Reynolds) and serves as Composition & Theory Coordinator. Recent accolades include the Barlow Commission and Royaumont Prize. His compositions have been showcased at festivals such as Ultraschall Berlin, SoundOn, and NWEAMO in San Diego.
