Dr. Davis’s research is highly focused on the pathophysiology of EoE, including genetic underpinnings, epithelial barrier dysfunction, and immune mechanisms. He has published extensively in top-tier journals such as Nature Genetics, Journal of Allergy and Clinical Immunology, and Annual Review of Pathology. His work reveals deep investigation into IL-13 signaling, calpain-14 activation, and tissue remodeling in EoE. He also contributes to clinical advancements in oral immunotherapy for peanut allergy and explores the intersection of immunology with other systems, such as cardiology.
His recent publications demonstrate a strong trend in translational immunology, bridging molecular discoveries with clinical applications. Key themes include biologic therapies, epithelial integrity, and multi-disciplinary approaches to complex allergic diseases.
While no formal awards are listed, his leadership as Interim Director and role in major clinical trials reflect professional recognition.
