Benedetta Ubertazzi

Prof. Benedetta Ubertazzi serves as an EU Law Professor (Aggregate) at the University of Milan-Bicocca, specializing in the intersection of European Union legal frameworks and cultural heritage governance. Her work critically examines how international conventions shape heritage protection mechanisms.

Her research focuses on EU Law applications to Intangible Cultural Heritage, particularly Food Heritage Governance within UNESCO systems. She investigates legal tensions between national sovereignty and global heritage standards, with emphasis on intellectual property rights and multi-level governance challenges in foodways documentation.
