Ben Lowe is a Professor of Marketing at the Kent Business School, University of Kent, and currently serves as the Associate Dean of Research and Innovation. He has held leadership roles including Associate Dean for Global Engagement and Recruitment, Head of the Marketing Group, and Interim Director of Education. Additionally, he is Regional Editor (Europe) at the European Journal of Marketing, Associate Editor at the Journal of Advertising Research, and Associate Editor at the International Journal of Bank Marketing. His research focuses on consumer behavior, technology adoption, AI in advertising, and social marketing. He has supervised eight PhD students and won the 2011 Faculty of Social Sciences Teaching Award for integrating Twitter into marketing education. His work appears in renowned journals and he contributes to special issues on topics like AI and advertising, food consumption, and technology in marketing.
Professor Lowe’s research interests span consumer adoption of innovations, marketing communications, and strategic marketing. He has edited special issues on AI and advertising, technology’s role in changing consumer behaviors, and food consumption. His teaching expertise includes marketing research and customer insights at postgraduate levels. He collaborates with public and private sector organizations on marketing challenges and actively participates in global academic conferences.
