Dr Becky Ward is a Research Fellow at the University of Southampton and Research Director at the Centre for Homelessness Research and Practice. She holds a PhD and PGCE, and is a Chartered Psychologist (CPsychol) and Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA). Her work focuses on psychological approaches to homelessness prevention, developmental psychology, and co-creative research methods with marginalized communities. She actively collaborates with young people and neurodivergent individuals to co-produce evidence-based solutions.
Research projects include the Health Bus Evaluation and Understanding looked after young people's transitions, emphasizing participatory methodologies. She teaches Developmental Psychology, Educational Psychology, and ADHD studies, supervising PhD and clinical/educational psychology trainees.
