Becky Bell Scott

Becky Bell Scott is a Clinical Professor at Baylor University’s Diana R. Garland School of Social Work, focusing on integrated behavioral health and clinical social work in primary care settings. She holds a PhD from Baylor University, an MSW from the University of Washington, and a BS from Abilene Christian University. Her professional credentials include LCSW (Texas) and certifications in therapeutic methods like Parent Child Interaction Therapy and Motivational Interviewing.

Her research emphasizes addressing behavioral health workforce gaps, training in integrated care, and improving pediatric behavioral health outcomes. Notable projects include a $2M+ funded initiative to evaluate training programs for clinical social work in primary care and a mixed-methods study on Long-Acting Reversible Contraception alongside Centering Pregnancy. She also leads a qualitative study on the experiences of students of color in social work programs.

Dr. Scott directs the Integrated Behavioral Health Certificate Program for MSW students and teaches courses like Advanced Theories for Working with Children and Families and Art, Children and Disabilities.
