Emma Taylor is a full-time Lecturer and Associate Director of Practicum Education at the Diana R. Garland School of Social Work, Baylor University's Houston Campus. She holds an MSW and BSW from Baylor University (2012, 2013). As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), her career spans clinical work in psychiatric social work, primary care, and crisis intervention, alongside teaching roles.
Her research interests focus on child welfare, pediatric chronic illness, medical social work, and addressing social determinants of health. She contributed to the HOPES Program to reduce child abuse in Texas and currently serves on the Harris County Child Fatality Review Team and the Suicide Prevention sub-committee, advocating for policy changes to prevent deaths.
