Becca Voelcker is a Lecturer in Fine Art Critical Studies at Goldsmiths, University of London. She earned her PhD at Harvard University (2021) with a secondary field in Anthropology, and holds an MPhil in Screen Media and Cultures (Distinction, 2013) from University of Cambridge, and a BA in Art Practice (First Class, 2012) from Goldsmiths.

- Land representation in art/film
- Japanese cinema
- Diaspora visual cultures
Teaching & Public Engagement: She supervises doctoral students in areas including land-based film theory and eco-political cinema. She curates film seasons at BFI and Barbican, and contributes to Screen, MIRAJ, and Sight & Sound. Her forthcoming book Land Cinema in an Age of Extraction (University of California Press, 2025) synthesizes her research on extractive industries and cinematic landscapes.
