Beatrice Behlen

Beatrice Behlen is an Associate Lecturer in the BA Fashion Communication: Fashion Histories and Theories department at Central Saint Martins. With a career spanning over two decades, she has taught fashion and design history since 1995 and served as Senior Curator of Fashion & Decorative Arts at the London Museum (formerly Museum of London) since 2007.

• Professional Roles: Curatorial assistant at Kensington Palace (Historic Royal Palaces), co-founder of the Bande à Part podcast (2018–2022) discussing fashion and film

Her research focuses on individual style, sartorial geography, and the relationship between clothing, location, and identity. She has curated exhibitions on royal attire and published works on London couture clients, subcultures, and museum display practices.
