Lucy Gundry

Dr Lucy Gundry is a Lecturer affiliated with the Bath School of Art, Film and Media and Bath School of Design at Bath Spa University. She specializes in Mixed Media Textiles and focuses on the intersection of theory, practice, and exhibition in textile and fashion education.

• Education: PhD (Royal College of Art) in Haptic Aesthetics of Dress, MA Contemporary Curating (AHRC-funded), BA Textile Art, BA History of Design & Visual Arts

Her research explores the relationship between body, dress, and self as a fabricated skin, emphasizing haptic aesthetics in museums, practice-based 'enclothed curating,' and the embodied role of clothing in identity and belonging. She contributes to teaching specialisms in Textile Art, Fashion Theory, and Museum/curatorial studies.

Lucy collaborates with external institutions including Northumbria University and Parsons School of Design, NY, as part of the Practice based Fashion Research Network. She co-edits the Journal of Textile Design and Practice (Bloomsbury) and engages in community curating projects.
