Beate Fast Krakstad is an Associate Professor in the Department of Natural Sciences at the University of Agder (UiA), Norway. Previously, she served as a Lecturer at secondary schools (Arendal and Dahlske) from 2007–2023, and as a Researcher at the University of Bergen (UiB) from 2005–2007.
Education: She holds a PhD in Molecular Biology (2004) and a Master’s in Molecular Biology (2000), both from the University of Bergen.
Research Interests: Her work focuses on molecular mechanisms of cell adhesion and migration, particularly involving G protein pathways. She has published extensively on topics like G protein-coupled receptor signaling, protein phosphorylation, and chemokine regulation.
Teaching: At UiA, she teaches General Chemistry and Organic Chemistry. Previously, she instructed subjects such as Chemistry, Mathematics, and Research Studies at secondary schools, and contributed to Biomedical Laboratory Techniques at UiB.
Research Groups: She is affiliated with research groups studying tick-borne pathogens and cellular processes. Her publications reflect interdisciplinary expertise in cell biology, biochemistry, and molecular signaling.
