Melissa Durstin is Assistant Professor In-Residence at UConn's Waterbury campus in the Department of Molecular and Cell Biology. Her research historically focused on signal transduction mechanisms in neutrophils and hematopoietic cells, with publications on cytokine receptor signaling, tyrosine phosphorylation, and G-protein pathways in leukocytes.
She received the Leukemia Society of America Fellowship during postdoctoral work at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute investigating GM-CSF and thrombopoietin signaling pathways in leukemia.
