Beata Purc

Dr. Beata Purc is an Adjunct Assistant Professor at the University of Gdańsk, affiliated with the Faculty of History's Division of Art Theory. She also serves as a certified curator in the European Painting Department at the Gdańsk National Museum.

• PhD in Art History from Catholic University of Lublin
• 20+ years of academic experience since 2002
• Active member of CODART International Council and Polish art historians' associations

Her research focuses on:

• Late medieval and early modern art iconography
• Evolution of museum practices and collecting history
• Development of art theory and historiography from antiquity to the 18th century
• Art and culture of the Netherlands (15th-16th centuries), Holland (17th century), and Germany (15th-18th centuries)

Scientific honors include:

• Österreichische Bundesministerium für Bildung, Wissenschaft und Kultur fellowship recipient
