Barsha Shrestha

Barsha Shrestha is a Lecturer at the Dental School of The University of Western Australia. Her research focuses on innovative applications of High-Intensity Focused Ultrasound (HIFU) and nanotechnology in dentistry, including biomimetic remineralization and antibiofilm interventions. She also contributes to multidisciplinary research as a Research Fellow.

Current Projects involve collaborations with the Oral Health Centre of WA (OHCWA) to develop advanced dental composites and explore HIFU's potential in enamel repair. Her work aligns with UN Sustainable Development Goals in health and bioengineering.

Publications highlight her expertise in ultrasonic manipulation of dentine, nanoparticle-modified restoratives, and HIFU-driven crystallization processes. She actively supervises research students and contributes to clinical and translational studies.
