Barbara Cimity

Barbara Cimity is a Lecturer at Otis College of Art and Design, specializing in BFA Animation. With over 16 years at DreamWorks Feature Animation and executive roles at Six Point Harness and Stoopid Buddy Stoodios, she is a prolific producer of 2D, 3D, and stop-motion projects, including Emmy-winning Robot Chicken and Oscar-winning Hair Love.

Research and Professional Focus: Barbara’s work centers on character-driven narratives, spanning feature films, television series, and experimental formats. Her expertise includes cross-disciplinary collaboration in animation studios and project development.

Leadership & Affiliations: Founder of Lady Face Pictures and former owner of CimityArt, she serves on the board of Women in Animation and is a member of ASIFA and The Television Academy’s Animation Division.
