Ban Majeed is an Associate Professor in the Department of Biostatistics, Data Science, & Epidemiology at the School of Public Health, Augusta University. He also holds a joint appointment in the Department of Biobehavioral Nursing at the College of Nursing. His academic work spans epidemiology, biostatistics, and public health research with a focus on tobacco use behaviors and preventive care.
His research interests include:
- Use and perceptions of e-cigarettes, hookah, and cigars
- Flavor appeal and its influence on tobacco initiation
- Biological harm spectrum of tobacco products
- Epidemiological study designs and survey methodology
His recent publications center on behavioral risk factors, cancer survivorship, health inequities, and the public health impact of tobacco and nicotine products.
