About
Bahar Rastegari is a Lecturer in Artificial Intelligence at the University of Southampton's Computer Science Department. She is part of the Agents, Interaction and Complexity research group and the UKRI Centre for Doctoral Training in Machine Intelligence for Nano-electronic Devices and Systems. Her research focuses on multiagent systems, algorithmic game theory, and computational social choice, with emphasis on stable matching problems, resource allocation under uncertainty, and fair division. Dr. Rastegari currently supervises two PhD students: Harry Horler (iPhD MINDS) and Jessica Leslie Newman (PhD Computer Science). She is actively accepting applications for PhD supervision.
Her work bridges theoretical computer science and practical AI applications, addressing challenges in preference modeling, algorithm design, and system optimization. She has contributed to advancing methodologies for handling uncertainty in multiagent environments and designing truthfulness mechanisms in resource allocation.
