About
Professor David Manlove holds a position at the School of Computing Science within the College of Science and Engineering at the University of Glasgow. His research focuses on Algorithms and Complexity, particularly in the domain of Matching Problems which have significant applications in Kidney Exchange, Resource Allocation, and Algorithmic Graph Theory. He leads the Formal Analysis, Theory and Algorithms (FATA) research section and is involved in multiple EPSRC-funded projects.
- Received Royal Society of Edinburgh Lord Kelvin Medal (2019)
- Held Royal Society of Edinburgh / Scottish Executive Personal Research Fellowship (2003-2006)
- Co-investigator in multiple EPSRC grants totaling over £700k
- Advisor to 13+ PhD students in matching algorithm research
Recent publications explore kidney exchange optimization, 3D hedonic game envy-freeness, and course allocation via stable matching. His MATWA web toolkit provides practical implementation of matching algorithms for researchers and practitioners.
