B. le Normand is an Associate Professor of History at the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, Maastricht University. His research focuses on the global history of socialist Yugoslavia, particularly urban planning, migrant workers, and port cities. He leads projects like the Rijeka Fiume in Flux mobile app, exploring contested urban spaces. Key works include Designing Tito's Capital (2014) and Citizens without Borders (2021).
