Dr. A. Azfar Moin is an Associate Professor and Department Chair at the College of Liberal Arts, University of Texas at Austin, affiliated with the Middle Eastern Studies and Middle Eastern Languages and Cultures Graduate Studies Committee (GSC). He earned his PhD from the University of Michigan and is an active scholar in the history of the early modern Islamic world.
