Azadeh Block

Dr. Azadeh Block is an Associate Professor of Social Work at PennWest University, specializing in cultural humility, competence, and immigrant/refugee populations. She has held faculty positions at Slippery Rock University, University of Pittsburgh, and Youngstown State University, with a career rooted in mental health services research.

Her research focuses on culturally grounded interventions for refugees, adolescent mental health treatment dynamics, and diversity education in social work. She collaborates with community partners in Southwestern Pennsylvania to advance social justice initiatives.
