Aysegul Durakoglu

Dr. Aysegul Durakoglu is a Teaching Professor at Stevens Institute of Technology's School of Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences. A Juilliard-trained pianist and NYU PhD graduate, she researches the intersection of Nietzsche's philosophy and musical compositions, contemporary Turkish/American piano works, and Sephardic musical heritage.

Her performance career includes concerts at Jazz at Lincoln Center, Drom NYC, and international festivals. She released albums featuring Debussy, Beken, and Nietzsche's piano works, and authored the anthology 'Nietzsche and Music'.

As Director of the Global NGO Executive Committee to the UN, she organizes benefit concerts and lectures worldwide on music's role in cultural sustainability.
