Ayeisha Mathis

Ayeisha Mathis is an Assistant Professor at Berklee College of Music and a faculty member at the New England Conservatory. She is also the Founder and CEO of Sound Doctrine Company, dedicated to supporting emerging artists through production, development, and education.

Education: Graduated from Berklee College of Music in 2009 with dual degrees in Music Production and Engineering and Music Business/Management, becoming the first recipient of the Presidential Scholarship.

Research & Interests: Focuses on music theory, harmony, ear training, and music education, with a commitment to community engagement through mentorship and youth programs. Her work integrates her technical expertise with a passion for nurturing future musicians.

Awards: Honored with Berklee’s prestigious Presidential Scholarship, underscoring her academic and artistic excellence.

Advising & Community: Former Music Program Director at Boys and Girls Clubs of Dorchester, Team Leader for Music and Youth Initiative, and current Program Director at Boston Kroc Center. Mentors youth in Boston, emphasizing accessibility and artistic growth.

Labs/Teams: Leads Sound Doctrine Company and collaborates with Berklee and New England Conservatory to advance music education and community outreach.
