Athanasios Andrikopoulos

Athanasios Andrikopoulos is a Professor in the Department of Computer Engineering and Informatics at the University of Patras. He serves as Director of the "Mathematical Foundations of Computer Science" Laboratory, focusing on interdisciplinary research at the intersection of topology, computer science, and economic theory.

His research spans three core areas:

• General Topology (Differential, Geometric, Combinatorial, Algebraic) and its foundational role in theoretical mathematics and computer science;
• Quantitative methods applied to mathematical analysis, statistics, operations research, and computational challenges;
• Topological Data Analysis (TDA), leveraging geometric and topological features for machine learning and theoretical modeling.

His work extends classical results from Aumann, Arrow, and von Neumann, with publications cited in major handbooks and monographs. He maintains an active research profile with over 60 journal articles and 18 conference papers, often working independently (52 single-author publications).
