Dr. Astrid Lipinsky is a Visiting Professor at the European Research Center on Contemporary Taiwan and affiliated with the Department of East Asian Studies/Sinology at the University of Vienna. She specializes in gender, society, and law in modern China and Taiwan since 1895. Her roles include administrative director of the Vienna Center for Taiwan Studies and editor of the Vienna Taiwan Studies Series (peer-reviewed). She serves on the board of the European Association of Taiwan Studies since 2014.
