Ashleigh Rich

Ashleigh Rich is an Adjunct Professor in the Faculty of Health Sciences at Simon Fraser University (SFU) and holds an adjunct role at Duke University School of Nursing. She is a Research Scientist at the Center for Gender and Sexual Health Equity. Her work focuses on sexual and gender minority (SGM) health equity, with expertise in social epidemiology, HIV, and chronic disease disparities.

Research Interests: Dr. Rich employs quantitative and mixed-methods approaches to investigate SGM health disparities, particularly among multiply marginalized groups (e.g., racialized, low socioeconomic status). Her research examines mechanisms linking social processes to health outcomes, aiming to inform interventions and policies. Key areas include transgender health, HIV epidemiology, and the embodiment of social inequities.
