Ash Fure is an Associate Professor of Sonic Arts at Dartmouth College and Director of the M.F.A. in Sonic Practice. She served as co-artistic director of The Industry LA (2021-2024). Her work creates visceral sonic experiences through live performances and installations that explore the elemental force of sound and human sensory perception.
Fure holds a B.Mus. from Oberlin Conservatory, an M.A. from Harvard University, and a PhD in Music Composition from Harvard University. Her research integrates Music Composition, Sound Art, Electronic Music, and Intermedia Installation to investigate listening as a social and biological phenomenon.
