Arturo Susarrey Arce

Arturo Susarrey Arce serves as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemical Engineering at the University of Twente's Faculty of Science and Technology. He is a core member of the Mesoscale Chemical Systems (MCS) research group with additional affiliations at the MESA+ Institute and TechMed Centre, reflecting his interdisciplinary approach to material science and health applications.

He earned his Ph.D. from the University of Twente focusing on structured materials for energy and chemistry applications. His professional journey includes research assistant roles at the University of Liverpool's surface science research centre (specializing in antimicrobial surfaces) and Chalmers University of Technology (nanofabrication).

Dr. Susarrey Arce's research expertise spans Energy, Chemistry, Material Science, Surface Science, Nanoparticles, Three Dimensional Printing, Nanocrystalline Materials, and Health. His work centers on developing advanced structured materials through nanofabrication techniques for applications in energy conversion, antimicrobial surfaces, and health technologies, leveraging synergies between material science and chemical engineering.

Within the Mesoscale Chemical Systems group, he contributes to cutting-edge research through active collaborations across the MESA+ Institute's nanotechnology platforms and the TechMed Centre's medical technology initiatives, driving innovation in material design for real-world health and energy challenges.
