Arthur Jones

Arthur Jones is a Researcher at the Centre of Excellence in Terrorism, Resilience, Intelligence and Organised Crime Research (CENTRIC) and the Industry and Innovation Research Institute at Sheffield Hallam University. He holds a BSc in Social Computing and an MSc by Research in Computer Science from the University of Lincoln, focusing on emotional responses to confrontational agents in virtual environments. His work explores the intersection of computing with Psychology and Design, emphasizing Virtual Reality (VR) applications in serious games and security research.

Current projects include contributions to EU Horizon-funded initiatives like INFINITY and WELCOME, collaborating with international partners. His research interests center on VR’s capacity to induce physiological responses, the believability of virtual environments, and their impact on users. Jones also serves as a Serious Games Developer in the Serious Games Team at CENTRIC, advancing interdisciplinary projects in security and resilience.

Notable publications include studies on cybersecurity education through VR and simulated confrontations in virtual spaces. His work highlights trends in immersive learning technologies and their applications across education and behavioral analysis.
