Arthur Disegna is a NIHR Blood and Transplant Research Unit Doctoral Fellow at the University of Oxford, focusing on severe head injuries and hemorrhage management in traumatic brain injury (TBI). He is affiliated with Brasenose College and collaborates with the Murphy, Roberts and Stanworth Group (Oxford Clinical Research in Transfusion Medicine) and the Akbar Group (extracellular vesicle research). His work integrates epidemiology, AI-driven neuroimaging, and laboratory science to improve TBI treatment.
Education: MD from the University of Brasília (2019), with research on AI applications in pituitary disorder diagnostics. Post-qualification, he served as an Intensive Care Clinical Fellow during the pandemic before moving to Oxford for his DPhil.
