Arnau Mir Torres is a University Professor at the University of the Balearic Islands (UIB) within the Department of Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence. He contributes to the School of Mathematics and Computer Science, aligning his work with the Biología Computacional y Bioinformática (BIOCOM), Modelización de Datos y Aprendizaje Estadístico (MoDAE), and Soft Computing, Image Processing and Aggregation (SCOPIA) research groups.
His academic journey began with a degree in 1987, followed by a doctoral thesis completed in 1994 at the University of Barcelona. In 1995–2006, he collaborated with CSIC Research Professor Pedro Salvador on semiconductor characterization using photoelectrochemical imaging and co-directed two doctoral theses with Excellent Cum Laude honors at UIB.
