Arjmand Mufti

Dr. Arjmand Mufti is an Associate Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center, specializing in transplant hepatology and affiliated with the Division of Digestive and Liver Diseases. He holds an M.D. from the United Medical and Dental Schools of Guy’s and St. Thomas’ Hospitals in London, where he graduated with honors, followed by training in internal medicine at King’s College Hospital (London), a research fellowship at the University of Michigan, and advanced fellowships in gastroenterology and transplant hepatology at the University of Chicago.

His research focuses on acute chronic liver failure, contributing to over a dozen peer-reviewed publications. Dr. Mufti is actively involved in academic publishing as a section editor for Current Hepatology Reports, an ad hoc reviewer for Journal of Hepatology, American Journal of Gastroenterology, and Clinical Gastroenterology and Hepatology, and editorial board member of Clinical and Translational Gastroenterology. He is a member of professional organizations including the American Society of Transplantation, European Association for the Study of the Liver, and American Gastroenterological Association.
