Arin C. Whitman-Jemison

Dr. Arin C. Whitman-Jemison serves as a Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Pharmacy Practice at Western New England University's College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences and is a Board-Certified Oncology Pharmacist. She practices clinically at UMass Memorial Health's Hematology/Oncology Clinic while teaching hematology/oncology, pharmacogenomics, and public health courses at WNE, where she also co-directs community outreach initiatives for underserved youth.

Her educational credentials include:

• Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) from Duquesne University
• PGY-1 Pharmacy Practice Residency and Teaching Certificate at UPMC Mercy Hospital
• PGY-2 Residency in Hematology/Oncology at Allegheny General Hospital
• MPH Candidate at Brown University (expected December 2025)

Her research integrates oncology and pharmacogenomics with public health equity, focusing on optimizing cancer therapy through precision medicine while addressing systemic disparities. She actively develops community-based interventions to improve healthcare access, particularly for Springfield-area youth through Golden Bear Summer Camp programs that expose underrepresented students to medical careers.

Dr. Whitman-Jemison mentors pharmacy students through APPE rotations and serves as faculty in WNE's Master of Science in Pharmacogenomics Program. Her leadership extends to Chair of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Mass/Metrowest's Board of Directors, advisor to student pharmacy organizations (SNPhA, NEPhS, NPhA, NCODA), and member of Massachusetts' Public Health Data Warehouse Community Advisory Board.

She operates within UMass Memorial Health's integrated Hematology-Oncology Clinic team and leads WNE's Community Outreach Programs, creating pipelines for Springfield youth into healthcare professions through hands-on summer camps and partnerships with local schools.
