Ariela Tubert is Professor and Chair of Philosophy at the University of Puget Sound. Her research examines moral philosophy, action theory, and the ethics of artificial intelligence, with additional interests in environmental ethics and social philosophy.
Current projects investigate AI ethics through an NEH-funded book Robot Existentialism: Artificial Intelligence and the Limits of Rationality. Research addresses algorithmic bias, machine learning limitations, and ethical implications of AI-human interactions.
Teaching includes Moral Philosophy, Environmental Ethics, Metaethics, and specialized seminars on Latin American Philosophy. Administrative service includes departmental leadership and committee roles.
