Ariel C. Avgar is the David M. Cohen Professor at the ILR School, Cornell University, and Senior Associate Dean for Outreach and Sponsored Research. He directs the Center for Applied Research on Work. His research focuses on healthcare employment relations, workplace innovation, and conflict management in organizations. He holds a Ph.D. in Industrial Relations from Cornell, an LL.B in Law from Hebrew University, and previously served as a Law Clerk for the Israeli National Labor Court.
