Dr. Ariel Beaujot is Professor of History at University of Wisconsin-La Crosse, specializing in public history and digital humanities. She holds a PhD from University of Toronto and BA from University of Western Ontario. Her innovative community projects include Hear, Here (La Crosse and London, ON) oral history initiatives and [art]ifact exhibitions.
Her research explores material culture, decolonization of public spaces, and experiential learning. She received the 2023 Heritage Award for Historic Preservation for Hear, Here projects that document marginalized voices through mobile technology and augmented reality.
